Hot orange searching pattern.
I left the feather tip on, as a wing. I liked the look of the little red tip. Seemed to go nicely with the hot orange body. I figure I can easily pluck off the wing, if the fish don't like it.

I am going to try and duplicate that pattern in Orange, and I will try it in Lt. Cahill aswell.
To me, it screams emerging caddis. I cant not try it, after seeing it.

Nice flies, Ray. Here I thought you were going back to the old Glanrhos style of tying.

Glanrhos style
That’s exactly right Ron. I could not think of the name yesterday. I’ve tyed these “Glanrhos style”. There is another very similar “henwing style” where the wing tip is tyed in flat over the back of the fly, then hackle is wrapped forwards forming the legs.

Ray,
Wonderful pattern! I have done the same wing (Glanrhos) style on patterns before! You have done a terrific job in anchoring them just right on each pattern! I hope you never have to clip the wings off but, do what it takes to hang a slunger in the scissors!
