One more soft hackle before it's back to tying comp flies for a while

Hook- 12# Mustad R50
Hackle- Partridge
Fluro Tag- Glo Brite 12#
Ribbing- Hends 0,09 CWS-21 light metalic green
Abdomen- Veniards Flexi Floss Olive
Thorax- Harline Chocolate brown hare's ear plus

Great fly, Karsten. I tye some "Candy Apple" flies that look similar to this, but I like yours better... The rib adds such a beautiful segmentation to the body.

I don't know what is prettier the fly or the jaws on that vise. Nice pattern, a little big for our bwo's but love the pattern.

Wow, you have a definite command of this type of fly. I love the whole thing. I swear the tag looks like it is actually glowing.

Those Candy Apple soft hackles are gorgeous! I like the idea of halving the single strand of floss to cut down on bulk. Thanks for sharing the link Ray...

I aggree Carl it's an emormous BWO but I didn't have a smaller hackle available.

Karsten, a hot spot would certainly add a new dimension to such a traditional looking fly. These are especially well tied. Wouldn't hurt to throw a hot spot on some North Country spiders. (I'm going straight to hell for that, aren't I? Who's in?

I like your work very much and I think there must always be changes also to spiders, so I like the green tag, got me thinking of a Grannom.
