Thanks William, Glad your inspired to stick some fluro butts on a few traditional north country spiders. You're probably right about going to hell, seeing I did it publicly first I'll be there before you ;) Pritt is no doubt turning in his grave at the thought or wishing he had accesss to a similar fibre in his time.

tie2fish - Wow, thank you for your kind words, you have no idea how much that means to me at the moment. Thank you :)

Cheers Ruard, a grannom now there's some food for thought, I may have to investigate ;)

That is an excellent fly, hot-spots with a fluo tag or thorax , work very well with spiders.
The Glow-Brite range of fluo is very useful. It does look like a very nice vise, what is it?

Here is a Hot-spot Olive spider I dressed a very long time ago.

DNicolson- Thanks for sharing one of your hot spot ties :D I love the idea of having the hot spot behind the hackle. I bet your fly would look irresistable when wet, the hackle vailing the bright hotspot a little and the nice contrast between the dark hackle and bright thorax highlight. Very cool.
The vise you ask about is a C&F Marco polo vise/travel kit.
