I was just trying that the other day. It has been so long since I tied a dry that I was getting frustrated with the results, but wanted a few patterns for Roscoe.
My thought process....Hmmm. Maybe a few dries for Roscoe.
Sulphers, BWO, caddis, genralists.
I'll start with the caddis...elk hair, x-caddis, cripples.....
Wings to long, that's not snug enough, hackle looks like crap. I don't have enough dry hooks.
Wait, isn't this a gathering of flymph fisher's. I don't need no stinking dries.
No, what I really need is better quality dry hackle.
Jim just got a load in I know this thanks to email notification
Oh...didn't I need some more thread too...yep
What's this Veevus thread about...have to try that one out.
I'm helping Jim get to Roscoe anyway...better get some more silk while I'm at it.
Order should be here in a couple days.
Better get back to tying flymphs. sulphers, bwo's, caddis, generalists.....................
Recommendation: Take Han's up on the supermarket idea, avoid the dries, and stay out of the fly shops.
