Cinabar Flymph - Mark Libertone

I tied up a Cinabar Flymph created by Mark Libertone. It is a cool pattern, so I wanted to give it a shot. I still don't know if I'm happy with the head on this one, but I need to move on to some other flies. What do you guys think?

Daiichi 1550 size #12
Thread: Orange Uni-thread
Hackle: Golden Speckled Hen Back-one side stripped off of fibers.
First Ribbing:One strand of Peacock herl
Second Ribbing: Fine copper wire counter-wrapped.
Body:Cinnamon colored bear underfur mixed with a little Hare's Mask of the same color. The body was dubbed on 6/0 Danville Tying thread of Pale orange color Leisenring fashion. When dubbing, the fibers of fur were laid perpendicular to the tying thread.

It's gorgeous! This pattern is new to me! I did not know that Mark had invented it! It is very buggy looking to say the least! Is the head (thread)color the bothersome part? I know Mark may not like me suggesting this to you but if the color is the matter, try olive colored silk or tying thread! It would compliment the hackle and peacock herl a bit better. The bright orange head is a real eye catcher to us humanoids and probably to our fishy friends as well!

What bothers you about the head?

Well, I think the proportion of the head was bothering me on these. I tied up several and that kept being a problem spot. So I think I've stared at it way too long and wasn't sure if I was finally happy with it. But this one has grown on me since then, haha.

I appreciate all of you guys who have replied. I wanted to do justice to Mark's fly.

I tried to edit my text on my post but it wouldn't let me. But the only part that is different is the Hackle. I could not find the golden speckled hen back, so I used Golden Straw Brahma Hen.

When I was putting together the materials needed, I didn't have any bear fur, but Bill graciously sent me some.

I studied what I could find, to know what Mark wrote about the pattern and tried to follow it exactly. I tied it just how he described.

I also used the same thread. I have mainly used silk when creating dubbing loops on the Clark block, but sense Mark used Uni thread on this, that's what I used.
