Ira Lingren developed some buggy-looking, easy-to-tie nymphs that catch fish; can't ask for more than that. Here's the olive version; change colors to suit your needs.

hook - Mustad 3906B #14
thread - Danville 6/0 black
rib - wire x-small gold
tail - black hackle fibers
abdomen - marabou olive
thorax -peacock herl
hackle - hen black

mash barb and attach thread and wire; keep tag end of wire on far side of hook while wrapping thread to point above hook barb

measure some hen hackle barbs (hook gap past the bend) and tie in

tie in some marabou fibers (keep it sparse) and wrap body up to 60% mark

tie in some peacock; twist together and wrap thorax

counterwrap ribbing through body; helicopter and tie off

prep hen hackle; tie in by tip

wrap hackle, tie off/trim (take a few barbs off the underside); half hitch x 2, SHHAN

Thanks, Scott. This one should appeal to my little panfish buddies. Can't wait to wrap a few and try them out.

Once again, I am glad you joined Flymph Forum. Wonderful tutorial, and highly fish able pattern. Bravo Scott. ;)
