Messing around with some materials I have picked up recently. Somewhat inspired by our recent "Stripper Swap" for the striped body effect. The feathers and stems that I have dont show the contrast of those that some of the other members here use.

Very nice body effect, Dave. Goes to show how imagination and creativity can make up for (and sometimes surpass) missing materials. Viva la subs!

Beautiful flies!
I use 2 (light and dark) strands of Moose mane hair for the body on an old mosquito pattern.

Very well done! Inspiring...
Wish I had a row of these in my spring box. Now where did I put that patch of moose mane?

Great job with the moose mane! I use to tie the bodies of small Tricos using the same technique and they can be difficult to work with.

Every time I read the thread name "hen and moose" I keep thinking it should be "Moose and Squirrel" after the old Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons. That's how Boris referred to them.

zen leecher, Howdy;

, I was thinking the same thing. now that Natasha was one hot broad with
the curves where they should be and the sultry eyes, & distinctive voice like Becall
with Bogey in "To Have and Have Not".
