Midwinter Christmas hook giveaways

Post by Johnno » Thu Jul 19, 2018 1:21 am

Alrighty. As a forward cast to the sneck hook thread recently posted I have acquired a whole heap of the same hooks plus some others for next to nothing.

There’s way more than I’ll ever need. I’ll retain a box of each and rest can distributed in whatever numbers amongst those of you who may feel they can benefit..

What I’m thinking, depending on the level of interest is to send over what pple want to say one central distributor in the US who can then send them off to wherever, otherwise it’ll cost me a fortune to send over individually...anywhere else in the world, (like Wellington, Australia ) I can send over easy enough

There are available:

Sneck 3354 in #10 x 400 #12 x 400, #14x 300,

limerick 9850 in #14 x 700 (It’s very similar to a 3666)

So whoever wants what, first in first served.. merry midwinter Christmas!

That's a mighty fine offer, Johnno. Personally, I have -- like you-- more than I can ever use of those and/or comparable hooks, but I hope there are others who can take advantage of your generosity.

Johnno, Howdy;

I can act as distributor, nothing else to do ... I may extract a few from each package for
my own meager usage... if that's ok with the others and yourself.

Johnno ~

Please excuse me if I wasn't clear ... I already have plenty of these particular hooks. If, however, you happen to acquire an excess of vintage Mustad 94840 or 94842 in Sizes 12-18, I will gladly pay the postage :D .

Johnno, I really haven't begun to dive into the classic hook pool yet. My tying currently is using staple hooks for a purpose of either staying in the film or going a bit deeper with nymph hooks and copper wire ribbing to fish a bit deeper. I would love to sample some of the hooks but dont know what to even request. It would be great to get on the list.

I have been having difficulty logging on lately since the website has come back up, but seem to have figured it out now. Thanks in advance.

This is quite generous... Whoever gets these to distribute.. I'd love some of the snecks in smaller sizes.

Lovely stuff Johnno.

Who is taking on the distributor job? :)

Thus far I’ve got Bill B, Hank, Theroe and Smuggler. I’ll leave it open for a few more days.

What I’m thinking is that whomever puts their hand up as “distributor”, (Hank) I’ll send over what I don’t want and they can be passed out around whoever wants them from there....
