Ray, those flies are gorgeous, and look like real fish getters to me. Thanks for showing 'em off.

Refreshing post, due to recent discussion of John Dunn's "Sunshine and the Dry Fly" and translucency of silk bodied flies. It the POP series of flies, I use a tinsel underbody, to help reflect light back thru the silk body of the fly.

Thanks for posting that SBS, Ray. I think I remember seeing the POP fly on FTF, and made a few copies for the local Brookies. Worked very well, if I remember correctly. Think I'll make a few more now.

A great description of how to tie what I consider to be the best "new" fly design that I know of.

Personally, I use Alec Jackson Japanese Silk on the body, but any pure silk flattened sufficiently will produce the same effect. These flies catch fish!

Ray, Howdy;

Back at the top of this page (3), you offered a link for showing the splitting of the marabou
( php?f=5&t=1576&start=0 ), unfortunately it now leads somewhere else. Some odd computer
related 'stuff'. Any chance you might have a link that will now get us to the pix ???

Thanks,

hank
