Black & "Fiery" Brown Furnace Hen

Post by joaniebo » Thu Jan 23, 2020 11:36 am

Several years ago, I bought this hen from Dave Roberts at The Feather Emporium. I liked it so much, that couole years ago when I stopped by his home, I bought another.

I called it a "Black & Fiery Brown Furnace Hen" and love to use it with natural hare's ear or a reddish "March Brownish Hare's Ear" dubbing.

I’ve never seen it’s equal. :o Wow!

The micro barring reminds me of woodduck (summer duck) flank.
