Hi Hank,
The state trout season closed Oct 15, I believe, but my home water, The Genesee River is open all year long.

Yep! most the little creeks around me are open all year long but you won't want to fish in this weather.
Only hardcore flyfishers or the salted minnow drifters are out. The flyfishers are dedicated and the minnow guys are dedicated
to emptying out the deep pools or spring holes, and they are darn good at it!

Hi Hank,
You can keep fish you catch-limit 5 per day-only two over 12 inches. We have a 2.5 mile stretch of NO KILL as well. For more, look here:

Its pretty much the same regs up here Mark, but it doesn't stop them.
