Another thing is about the hackle.
The length is already discussed but how about in wich degree does the hackle has to stand.
Sometimes i hear that in stillwaters ppl put the hackle straight up,no current so nothing that would press the legs or wings down.
For myself i tie the in hackle like Ruard about 45 degrees or less.
