Excellent, thanks for the link. :) That would be pretty much like using a seine for my dumb little backcountry fish this time of year.

Yes, it ain't exactly the Henry's Fork in this part of the world--I hardly ever carry but one fly-box, and that the size of deck of playing cards. :) (Of course my "fishing pack" is a 4200 cu in backpack...I have to walk a long ways to find a fish dumb enough for me to catch.)

Not sure about Colorado, but the October Caddis are late this year in Idaho. We still had lots of hoppers around last week in northern Idaho. Even though the October Caddis were late, the trout didn't seem to mind, they would attack an imitation with glee. Great weather, clear and cold rivers, hungry fish, who could ask for more.
