What if I fish a flymph like a nymph? Is it still a flymph? :o

I figure a nymph isn't so much a tying style as a life stage of the invertebrate creatures that frequent our chosen places. Whatever you tie to imitate that stage must be a nymph. I know other more fussy, specific people won't agree but why make it any more complicated. :roll:

RnF, Howdy;

flymph ='s 1/2 fly + 1/2 nymph

so i reckon you'd be at least 1/2 correct ... :?

Over here..... we simplify things.
In regard to as you would find flies in a fly box, not the natural insect, if it does not have a hackle or a wing it is a nymph. Matters not if it contains one of those modern fancy beads, weight or wingcase..... it's still classed as a nymph.

Unless it is tied on a #6 long shank hook...... then it's a lure!
