CB, it is definitely a blue dun. Just poor photography and I did say it was an old shot.

Was that double scotch an old shot too?

dd,
I always drink my scott measured by two fingers - little and pointer. Gives a great deal to play with.

Ha, maybe it's that purple Pearsall's playing hob with a camera's algorithms again, but a great looking fly for all of that.

Philip,
Was going to ask how long your fingers are, then I grasped what you were saying. You are clever.

I love the photo of the flies filled in the DeWitt box. The enlarged individual fly was killer. Thanks for sharing.

I haven't come around to them yet. Seems like all my flies are below. I study them frequently, though. They are so delicate. That EP tiipii fiber make them so realistic compared to the competition.
I ordered a batch of Kamasan B525 a couple of months ago. When delivered, a set of North Country wets were included. He is a very skilled fly tier, no question about it.

Fantastic thread.........incredable flies..............and Ariel, fly fishing is sposed to be whatever "YOU" want it to be.

And that's as simple as it gets.....by any "measure."
