Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the positive feedback. I've not been tying due to numb fingers, BUT, I managed this one pretty well.
Ray,
I was thinking of Snipe and Purple with the gray hackle. The list on these hackles is dark and look a lot like furnace and badger when dyed. These necks are great, and I felt the combination of the purple, light dun and dark list worked well. Leisenring liked hackles with dark lists.

Me too. I bought some Indian Hen skins from Jim recently. When I spoke with him on the phone, I specifically requested skins with dark lists. He hand picked some beautiful skins for me, much to my liking.

Mark,
Just out of curiousity.....did you (or do you still) own a purple charger? It was a great one and I was just wondering if that was the inspiration?
You seem to produce even greater patterns with numb fingers than I do with somewhat normal feelers! You are amazing Mark! Keep up the good works! We are so glad to see you creating and producing such beautiful classics! You must be feeling some better! We are also very glad for that fact!
Your pal in Ohio,
Dougsden

Nope, Doug, I'd never heard of a Purple Charger. If you have on or know where I can see one, let me know.
Right now, I've got a miserable head cold. Not feeling well at all. I am waiting for the Doctor to call me this morning to see if I need blood work done to check my white cell count. I go back for another infusion next week, Tuesday. Not looking forward to it. I was feeling okay when I tied the fly, and I have another idea in the back of my head I want to bring to the vise. As soon as I'm better, I'll get to it.
