I'm new to fly fishing, two years, and new to this site, three days. My yard is full of Starling twice a year but just step outside with the pellet gun and they are gone. Guess I will have to purchase the feathers.

Great fly I will give it a try!!!

Yes they are quick buggers. I have hunted (shot) them before. But had to do it from a window in the house. :D

If you do go after wild feathers at anytime you need to de-bug them. You don't want to introduce anything to your tying materials that would ruin (eat) them.
