Very cool fly Bill. I would like to hear how well picric colored patterns work for most members. I know that it is used often, but I am in the dark about it. I have never seen a picric colored pattern in person, that I am aware of.

Thanks for the link Jerry G.

I'm with you DUBBN.

Beautifully executed Bill. I don't know much about picric, but I know that spider is tied superbly.

I'm sure this site has picked up some new member's since then that may or may not be aware of the precautions that should be taken with this material. http://globalflyfisher.com/staff/verhaa ... index.html

Thank you Jerry. I saved it. I haven't gotten into dying materials just yet. But if I change my mind, I will have this info to go by.

The Fly does catch! Its caught all who has posted! Really though what intrigues me most is how that color causes the segmentation of the feather to "pop"!!
Great tying too!
Thanks...

Bill, that's a good looking spider. Great contrast of colors. I especially like the mole.
Fantastic as usual.

Ditto, for me, my friend. Just a beautiful spider and kudos to Narco for the materials. Such a lovely hackle.

Wow. It would almost be a shame to fish that fly. But I would. In an instant!
