I don't have any jackdaw wings, but I did find a pair from of European magpie in my "stash". FWIW, the body was pre-spun on a block.

Really cool pattern Bill. That hook is very interesting. I do not know why, but when I first looked at it, it looked like it had just jumped out of an old Herters catalog. ;)

Thanks, Wayne. That hook is a Size #16 Mustad 94842, the ancestor of their current R50U.

The entire fly is magpie-nificent! The magpie hackles are really very good looking and buggy! I would think this one to be very effective over some snotty-nosed bluegators...
