Dana,
That is a Coch-y-Beautiful cape!
Phil
That's an understatement, Phil--the cape is simply stunning. I've never seen one anything like it before--the coloration is beautifully balanced.

Right?
It’s funny how things work out-I’ve been corresponding back-and-forth with Bazzer, as he has been looking for a decent CYB cape, so I told him I would keep my eyes peeled like a hawk. As luck would have it, I was at fly fest up at the Catskill flyfishing center and museum-by the sign in desk they had a big box of materials for sale, for benefit of the museum. So I dug through it and found a few goodies, one of which was this cape. It was on the order of $10 !!
For the two patterns which I use coch y bondhu for most, I need a very very dark version - and that is very hard to come by.......

Glad you found that one at Fly fest Dana that was a great day. This is one I picked up at the same show along with a beautiful ginger. They were bargains.

Yes Tom-I saw you and a couple other guys nosing around in there, that’s why I dived in!!!!!!!
All kidding aside, I tell everyone that there is a lot of good material to be had at the catskill Flyfishing Center & Museum-plus it benefits them, and ultimately us as well. AND, every now and then, some real gems can be found such as the Doc Fried hackle that a few of the guys bought. I’m very happy that Ray posted about it, along with some flies he tied.
