At the last we'd heard the date was 1810 or thereabouts.

Have you been able to find any other information???

Not so fast. While the descripton does say split thread in half. It is not clear that you are to join the threads together and spin the body or dub the body with both halves. The words "wrap as rib" or something to that effect makes me wonder .
