Thanks, the wing is "unstacked" gray fox, with a little bit of underfur left in the way Hans ties his muskrat wing fly in a recent video. (BTW, I'm slowling accumulating materials to tackle your "Prawn Star"...a great looking crayfish pattern.

)
Hans--we're reading you 5x5 now...that's a great looking wing.

Substitute polar bear or artic fox for the wing....or both together....I like the whole thing in olive colors as well

The Highland Cattle wing just tickles me--if I known the recipe a couple of years ago, I'd curry-combed a few in Scotland and stuffed my pockets full.
BTW, is that Spirit River collar dyed schlappen or just regular rooster?

my source for Scottish Cattle here in the US has been very ill for several months now, and I'm hoarding my stash.....uuugggh
the collar is that spirit river schlappen dyed orange.....I have to say if there is a company that has made a huge improvement of the quality of their product it's spirit river!!!!

Thanks for the heads-up on Spirit River--it seems as if wholesalers like that really have their ups-and-downs.
BTW, my wife thought Highland Cattle were really the highlight of her stay in Glasgow:

She may talk me into that mini-farm yet...
