Pike fly for sure!
Actually it's pretty impressive Mark (and giving me ideas!)
I've been noticing the multi colours on the wraps at the front. Are they painted on?

Yeah funny how I haven't managed to catch one yet!
Course that may have something to do with the size of the ones I've seen in person and how I'm a little scared of them.

Aint notin' to be scared of.............just remember to "respect" that racker they have. When you take the hook out of one.....you should either wear a chain glove or use REALLY long nosed pliers. And also, be SURE that the jaw spreader is set good, before you go in there. i had a jaw spreader slip when i was in there............OUCH!!!!! that racker got my thumb GOOD! i was still bleedin' 6 fish later...........

Boy Pike fishin' is TO COOL......them puppies are FUN!!!!! But never go for 'em without bringin' a jaw spreader.

This is just a test, to see if the new header works on each post..........i got sick and tired of looking at that lame, "for lack of a better term" deal...........and since the flies represent solos of a sort, and are inspired by the music.....i figured why not call 'em what they are. JazzFlies.....

OK! it worked.....bout time i did this. Way cool.....thankx Mark.....

Did this last night, finishing round 5:30 a.m. First painted the hook "Round About Midnight"
The pic sucks and Misa told me it would.......because the light was to bright in the dinning room.....there's a big picture window in there.....and the background was to light as well.....walls are a very light blue.........but anyway. i used a saltwater body braid for the body and you can't even tell what it is........the ribbing is polar chenille that is usually wraped as a body with touching turns, but i spaced them out as a rib would be. The wing is in three parts.........the underwing is a very light pink (EVERY hard to see) Angle hair type of material, and the left and right over wing is two completely different tips (out of the same package), off a couple Reah feathers.
i've been saving this bead for a couple years thinking of how to use it.....at some point (and you can't see it ["correctly"] at all, in this lousey pic), the bead had an accident, lol. It was left in the car for weeks in the summer time out west, and somehow a couple different spots (one on each side) just sorta melted......and those spots turned a real weird shade of lead grey. Quite ugly actually, but the rest of the bead in the good areas, was still beautiful. Well, i took fingernail polish, two different shades, a silver and a pink, and painted those two areas in. Your seeing the side that is pink, but it didn't come out well at all in the pic. The bead for the most part is a tanish, light brown, with black flecks, and white.....really a nice bead. Anway.......there are two hackles in the front for the colar.....one is another feather same as the tail is made out of (burnt Spey hackle), and the other is a rooter neck feather.....the darker smaller barbed feather. The tag is some very beautiful multi-colored antique embossed metal tinsel......but again, the pic sucks. i was pretty happy with this fly outta the vise.....but in this pic.......lmao.....i dunno.

.......OH BOY.........apparently, i've reached the pics quota again. OOOooooohhhhhhhh Mark.....lmao.

You'll be able to see it at my site in a bit.

Fly is titled Cotton Candy.
