.....so let's see.....

Thankx Mark.....
the tail and collar are the same feather.....outta the same package i mean.....Burnt Spey Hackle.....a friend (Mary K Janco), gave me the bead.....actually the same friend who's given me quite a few beads.....her and her husband (Jack Janco) always stay with us when they're here for the Sowbug and or the FFF Southern Council Conclave.....Jack is the most recent past President of the Red River Fly Fishers over Lake Texoma way........they got some SERIOUS Stripers in that lake.

We stay with them when we do the Texoma Tye-In and the Fly Fish Texas shows. i got Mary K "IN" to tye at the Sowbug a couple years back, and now her AND Jack are going to tye this year.........

MMMMM lemon lime jello? I really love that bead, it almost looks like a pretty little heart shaped stone. The spey hackle is pretty fascinating. I have a pack of black here and it looks like it would have a lot of movement. Of course on your fly it looks light and airy. I like it!

That fly does look good enough to eat.....
And yes Vicki, the bead is stone, tag is Krienik (double stranded), and the ass is bronzed peacock herl.

The eyes on most all of these recent flies are made out of fly line backing of various types.

btw, this is a hook Ruard sent me.....and although you can't see it well.....the point and barb are quite nice on these hooks. i did this one without cutting off the eye.....i will cut off the eyes on the others he sent.
Very nice Mark, this one is a really soft hackle but with so much artistic hue(?) on it: well done.
