Here's a very recent fly (kinna flymphish :D ), i've done on another one of those very old antique hooks.....4/0 this time. Don't exactly know why i called it the Irish Brown Derby other than the colors just brought that to mind.....and i have Lawrence Finny and his situation on my mind...........
the body is dyed Ostrich herl.....the rib is Vintage French Copper tinsel, same for the tag, but a very different MUCH finer tinsel.....the butt is a blended dubbing.....and this particular fly line backing (IF, i'm using backing), is my favortie to use for eyes.......there's a dubbed and highly picked out thorax under there as well..... ;)

Oh, that is lovely Mark! I love copper in flies. IMO copper should be used more often. Anyways, beautiful fly.

That is beautifully tied, it is so simple looking but I know the work it took. I'm with Ray, copper is my all time favourite and the one you will see me use most often.

i've only got (at most) a dozen pics spaces left, and then there's no other threads to delete so i can pick up more, EXCEPT this one itself. i was gonna post another pic of another fly.....but it's nothin' that special at all.......so i'll hold off. Goin' to bed now......have a nice weekend. ;)

Thankx Bill, sorry for the late reply.....we just got home bout 4 hours ago. Got your flies along with Ray's and Ruard's in the mail when i went to the post office. Thank you VERY Much. Two dozen is very generous and they are beautiful. Ray's and Ruard's are fantastic as well. i sure hope we sell them all at the Sowbug. We had a great time down in Cajun Land and i stoped by the little shop in Conway, AR. on the way home and scored a bunch of Kreinik threads. Been meanin' to get there for a while. It's the only place in the entire state that sells the stuff. Again, thankx to everyone who sent flies. mark..... ;)
