[quote="tie2fish"]I also played Miles Davis records a lot in those days

I had a lot of time on the road this week, which is one of my favorite times to go through my music library. I was just thinking today that Miles Davis - Kind of Blue is in my top 5 of great albums ever created. It doesn't get old or any less cool. (hijack

Mark, these really are fantastic. I'm always impressed with the skill that goes into making these come out so nice.

Thankx Vicki.......glad the package finally arrived.........the next one will leave here shortly. Just more of the same........crap load of hooks and materials.
Thank you to William........i thought maybe you were away or something.....that explains a lot.

"Kind of Blue" is the biggest selling Jazz date of all time, and UNDOUBTEDLY the most mentioned as one's "Favorite" by more fans, far and above any other date in history. i spose if i "Had" to name a favorite, i'd prolly call it too, even though there are SOOOOO many others i could just as easily name. i've listened to KoB (the date) prolly well over a thousand times, and another 1000 various live renditions, hope to double that at LEAST.

Yes it arrived. There are some really cool feathers in there (amongst other things) for some fancy wings. Thank you.

Did this bout 2 weeks ago.........i had tilted the fly back so Misa could get a better pic............but it looks as thought she either titled it more (to much), or got to low an angle when shooting it.............so it's a bit weird in that the angle of the fly in the pic is way do pushed back.........bit no biggie. Looks like i may have missed a mistake on the head...........or else that's an optical illusion..........i'll have to check that. i got a bit nutz experimenting with the Sharpies.....painting the rachis and fluff on the feathers in the wing.

Hey, it's all part of the fun. i am lovin' all this new bleeched and dyed Peacock herl.....GREAT stuff.

........as always, click on the pic for best results.........

When I was a kid we never had much money. It was always a huge treat when Dad stopped at the variety store and we got a pop. It wasn't a pop for each of us, it was 1 pop to share and there were four of us kids and my dad doing the sharing. His favourite was Orange Crush but sometimes it was lime or grape. That's what these flies reminded me of. Thanks Mark!

Both of these are typically creative willowhead dressings, but despite the gorgeous bead on "Plumb Tuckered", there's something about "Cold Duck" that draws my preference. Don't really know why -- it's not the angle of the dangle. Probably the color scheme ...
