Joaniebo, I was hoping you would critique this New Zealand pattern for me.
Is it correct? I have had a difficult time finding a recipe for it.
I applied the copper in a split thread.

This is the pattern I found from Categkry3flycompany. It is based out of New Zealand. It has pieces of Copper coming off it.
I watched YouTube video from another NZ tyer and he had a Pine Squirrel collar on his.

Dang, Wayne, if I was a fish, I'd eat that sucker in half a heartbeat.

I tie a lot of nymphs with squirrel collars the squirrel dubbing has tinsel already blended in. I buy it form Competitive Angler. They work great and it saves me time because I don't have to do the blending.
Nor do you have to do the squirrel gathering bit--which can be a real hassle. Same problem I am having getting bullock's hair--trying to get it off a brute of a beast of a cow with long pointy horns. I;d much rather just buy it in a little plastic baggie.

Bearbutt,
You made me laugh with your comments about gathering bullock hair and squirrels! John, a very interesting looking squirrel dubbing in your picture! I'll have to check that brand out! It is such a versatile dubbing!

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.

It was not the top producing pattern of the day. That honor went to a size 22 RS2 variant.
It made for one heck of an attractor!
