In 1959 George Jones created the tune White Lightning.

That was the year I got my first tying kit a few months after it hit the airwaves. I have no doubt that I was tying some of my first flies while it played on my transistor radio.

"Mighty, mighty pleasin', my pappy's corn squeezin (whew, white lightnin)."
