Here is a #14 Hare and Copper variation I tied just over a week ago for trout.
It is a variation of the Copper, Hare and Partridge tied by Soft-hackle posted on the Fly Tying Forum.

Ray the original is a nice muted Steelhead style pattern. With the hook and heavy gauge wire it should fish deep enough for you- if not there are ways to make it go deeper as Dubb points out.
I am still a fan of lead wire under wraps for some patterns- but bead thorax works just as well and can add a bit of flash.
Be interesting to see how it fishes for you when the runs start.

Bill (Roadkill) - That is a deadly looking fly! The added weight and slender profile should cut nicely thru the water column.
Wayne - Next time I visit the fly shop, I intend to buy a set of tungsten beads to put immediately in my chest pack, to use as you describe. I'll let you know how I make out, when I start fishing with the sliding beadhead. Stay tuned...
