Very nice "natural" color combination, Ray, and well executed tying. I notice that this is relatively large (Size #12); what fish species would you be targeting?

Steelhead... Won't be long now...
I am hoping this fly fishes deep. We'll see, once I get a chance to take it swimming.

Very well done. Flawless as is the norm for you. Good to see you tying.

Did you take pliers to the hook eye or is it just the photo angle that makes it appear like a ring eye?

Zen/Bill - It must be the angle. The hook is a regular down eye hook.
Thanks guys.

Ray,
If you want to go deep I would tie it with just a copper wire body and hot orange tying thread (tag and head) for Steelhead.

Slide a tungsten bead ahead of it when you tie it on. Different sized beads for different rates of descent.
