I have been studying the wet flies of John Atherton the last couple of days.I very much like his thoughts on color and impressionism. His flies reminded me of the Major Woody .Tim Flagler first showed me this fly and I have been enamored with it since.
Hook. Size 6 through infinity.
Tail. Wood duck.
Body. Wapsi blend Wood duck #rd147.
Wing. Wood duck.
Thread. UTC 70 denier you guessed it wood duck.

Yes Ray the legs are wood duck too. The thorax is a split thread dubbing loop shaggy and picked out to form the legs.
